Usually it is the parents or community members donating
supplies, having fundraisers, or getting involved, but today it is the students
heading these efforts. While many flood victims continue to clean up their
homes and neighborhoods, students at Jayenne Elementary are pitching in to
help. The school came together and collected building and cleaning supplies for
people in the Winfield area. This is a nice reminder of how students as well as
community members of all ages can impact families and communities everywhere,
especially after a flood or other natural disaster.
