Fun for kids

Hands on activities are the most fun for kids! These kids have been busy making crayons, a fun and educational activity. These best part is they did all of this in a mobile lab. Mix up the daily routine with a fun yet educational experience for kids.
Students have been loving this: "I don't think anyone has been bored all day," said Gwen Daquilante, a parent volunteer.
Even if you aren’t making crayons in a mobile lab let students get creative with spring themed art, mother’s day arts and crafts, or even just doodling.

Natural Disasters

There is no predicting when a town can be destroyed. It happens so quickly. When natural disasters strike, how do you begin to rebuild and entire town and community? With spring here, it is important schools and towns have a plan. Relief is here for schools impacted by natural disasters and everyone can help!

Taking the Classroom Outdoors!

Students want to leave their desk and head outside when the weather gets nice! Students will beg their teachers to take them for a nature walk and get them away from indoors. Trips outdoors can be fun and educational. All students need is a little fresh air and new scenery. By mixing up the daily routine students will have fun and be excited to learn. Let students:
  • plant a flower or garden
  • go for a nature walk
  • play a game of I-Spy and write down what they see
  • pick up garbage around the community
  • or any other fun activity!

Don't sit inside and learn about plants-get outside and experience it first hand!

School Supplies

With this school year coming to an end, parents have already begun wondering how they will be able to pay for school supplies. Get parents and community members involved and create a “back to school fair”.  For parents who can't pay for school supplies this is a great way to be sure students can still learn! Community members were asked to think of way to bring this "school fair" back!
